Instructions for Special Issue Preparation

We welcome special issue proposals on emerging topics that are relevant to the disciplines specified in the journals’ scope.

  • An individual or a group of specialized Professors/Scientists may submit a topic proposal and request guest editor position.
  • The guest editor team could consist of two to three individuals. The proposal for a group should specify the manner in which the tasks will be distributed.
  • Expertise on the proposed subject matter should have been demonstrated by the proposed guest editors.
  • Guest editors should have h-index above 15, as reported by Google Scholar.
  • It is recommended that the proposal incorporate curriculum vitae (CV) and the URLs of the proposed guest editors’ Google Scholar pages.
  • The proposal ought to provide evidence that the subject is presently noteworthy to professionals and technical practitioners, researchers, or the engineering community at large. It is preferable to incorporate objective evidence, such as the number of recent studies conducted and citations sourced from scientific indexes.
  • Proposals ought to encompass a recommended title, a schedule, details regarding the anticipated number of papers, and a preliminary call for submissions tailored to the special issue.
  • To submit a proposal, please send the above given information to the journal editor(s).
  • It is imperative that special issue reviews adhere to the identical rigorous and transparent evaluation process that is applied to all other papers submitted to the journal. The journal editors reserve the authority to audit and reverse the decisions made by the guest editors.

Responsibilities of guest editor:

  • Distribute the announcement about the special issue and request contributions.
  • Overseeing the process of handling submissions for the special issue in the journal system which involves tasks such as assigning reviewers, gathering reviews, corresponding with authors, and making editorial determinations regarding acceptance, rejection, and changes.
  • Ensuring a minimum of two topic experts are assigned as reviewers for each submission and having the ability to make a final decision based on two review outcomes.
  • Managing the editorial process in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Ensuring timely completion of tasks and delivering the completed project according to the predetermined timetable.
  • Engaging in all business interactions with reviewers, writers, and editorial staff in a manner that adheres to ethical and professional standards.
  • Proofreading and revising the last versions.
  • Submit the “editorial” to the editor-in-chief via the journal system.
